About Aggressive MetalsAggressive Metals Inc. was incorporated in February of 1989 as a sheet metal and miscellaneous steel contractor. Later that year we added roofing to our capabilities. We started with maintenance and new construction work in sheet metal, and maintenance work in roofing. Now we are operating in all three categories, performing maintenance and new construction work in the industrial, commercial and institutional fields. Since our beginning we have always stressed the need to satisfy the customer’s requirements and for that reason we have kept all of our old customers as we keep adding and keeping new ones. To keep satisfying the customer’s requirements we must perform the work safely. Our safety record is excellent and we thank our supervisors and all employees for continuing to perform the required work in a safe and capable manner. We want to assure all of our existing and new customers that we do not rest on our past record. We will continue to try and find better and safer ways to perform. We want all of our customers to keep coming back for more. Management TeamLarry Demchuk, President and CEOLarry, with others, founded Aggressive Metals Inc. in 1989 and has been President and CEO since its inception. After completing high school in Saskatchewan at the age of 18 Larry went to Wawa, Ontario to work in the iron ore mines, where he worked for two years then decided to move to Toronto to begin working in the metal construction industry where many of his Saskatchewan farm friends were already working.
Larry started working for Rosco Erectors in Toronto in 1958 working as a material handler, working on roof deck, floor deck, metal roofing & siding. He worked there for three years then moved to Robertson-Irwin in 1961 and became a “Bucker” also working on metal roofing and siding and belonging to Local 30 of the Sheet Metal Union. A few years later while working at Lakeview Hydro installing siding for Robertson, Larry was transferred to the Ironworkers Union where he remained until he was made Superintendent of Robertson-Irwin for the Toronto area which later included Ottawa, Kingston and parts of Northern Ontario.
In 1980 Larry was asked to take on the Construction Manager job in the heavy industry area of Hamilton which he accepted.
Larry looked after sales and installation of metal cladding, ventilators, louvers, roof deck, floor deck and miscellaneous steel for all the industrial customers in the Hamilton area. He remained at that position until deciding to start Aggressive Metals Inc.
